Man City vs Fulham score, Citizens go top

Manchester City moved into first place in the Premier League table thanks to a dramatic penalty- kick game- winner against Fulham scored by Erling Haaland in his return to action following his injury. It was a 2- 1 palm in a match that saw the Citizens play the final hour with 10 men.

Haaland's 95th- nanosecond penalty conversion went under Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno, as Man City moved one point above Arsenal in the standings. The Gunners take on Chelsea on Sunday with a chance to regain the top spot.

With Erling Haaland starting on the bench, City were in command from the opening whoosh and they took the lead through Haaland's relief, Julian Alvarez. But the match was turned on its head on a 26th- nanosecond play that redounded in a red card to City's Joao Cancelo and a penalty for Fulham.

After a long ball into the City half spouted into the path of Fulham winger Harry Wilson, Cancelo shouldered him in the box and adjudicator Darren England had no dubieties. Fulham attacking medial Andreas Pereira buried the penalty to equate 1- 1.

Man City always looked the most likely to find a winner, especially with Haaland coming on with 25 twinkles remaining. The big Norwegian headed home with 15 twinkles left, but it was scratched after the VAR spotted Haaland in an offside position.

The match looked fated to finish 1- 1, but Fulham's American left wing- reverse Antonee Robinson cropped Kevin De Bruyne in the box, performing in a clear penalty, and Haaland stepped up to convert for his 18th thing of the season.

Fulham nearly earned a point without star forward Aleksandar Mitrovic, who sat out with an ankle knock. Striker Carlos Vinicius replaced him at the top of the Cottagers' attack as the callers failed to ameliorate on their 7th- place position entering the match.
